1. Over The Counter/ Prescribed Medications
The infection can be treated with antifungal medicines which come as creams, tablets, ointments and suppositories. These meds can be purchased over-the counter (OTC) in drug stores and groceries. Doctors can also prescribe a single dose of oral flaconozole. Antifungal medications rid infection in most people.
Creams are applied to the affected area twice daily within 2 to 4 weeks. Include the area covering a margin of several centimeters of normal skin.
